Last year, in June 2008, I have enjoyed visiting the West Borneo (Kalimantan Barat). First, I arrived at Pontianak, the capital of this province. Many things I’ve seen in this city, from the wellknown "Equator Monument" or "Tugu Khatulistiwa" in bahasa to the wide river “Kapuas”. This province dominated by the chinesse ethnic, but actually the origin was Dayak.
From Pontianak, I start my trip to Serantak, the place that I will work. It’s take about 5 hour to go to that place. Serantak located in the northern of Pontianak, and I could be accessed by vehicle. When I went to Serantak, I crossed the beautiful place, Singkawang. This city most look like a china city’s type, might be , ‘coz I’ve never gone to china, I just feel it. I couldn’t talk to much about this city ‘coz I just have a little time to enjoy it. I continued the journey to Serantak. It’s a very long trip…
Finally I arrived in Serantak in the afternoon, after 5 hour travelling. A beautifull camp has waiting for me.. . The camp was made by karamba, and will swing if the wind stronger.. From behind of this camp I could seen the most beautiful scenery that I have never seen before. This are some of picture that I have took there.
Some flower make me so interested here, the flower called “Kantong Semar” or Nephentes or Tropical Picther Plant. Some people said, this place has various of kantong semar, I tried to bring some of this plant to Bandung and I hope have it in my house. =Apur=
